Dear Linelab,

I am using the extension/plugin Simple upload for virtuemart, but i've set the absolute path and i get the attached error.

It directly translates to:

Warning
Joomla\CMS\Filesystem\Folder::create: path is not located in the open_basedir path
Renaming failed.

Any ideas as to what the problem might be? I've tried several things to get it to work even changing the writing/reading rights of the folder on the FTP server but no luck.

I look forward to your answer!

It's not exactly clear in which moment the error message appears, but the plugin uses two folders:
1) First one is the temporary folder in the Joomla Global configuration (first attachment)
2) Second one is in the setting of plugin/customfield (second attachment).

Check those two path values it it is ok (and if those values are in allowed open_basedir in your hosting)

The error can be seen right after you confirm a purchase with a file uploaded. The order will still come through and can be seen in the backend, but the file is no where to be seen.

Hopefully you get a better idea of what the problem might be.

Best regards

Check those two folders as I wrote before with hosting setting first, please.

Hi David,

After some fiddeling I've managed to have no errors and it seems to be that i can order without a problem, however when I place an order the file doesn't get uploaded. I've looked everywhere but cant find it. It's almost as if it isn't uploaded in the first place.

what might I be doing wrong? Also at which step in the ordering process should the file be uploaded to the FTP server? with that knowledge I might be able to exclude some problems?

I hope to hear from you soon.

Best regards

Now I have no idea. The only what can we try is to solve the problem directly on your server (with appropriate access) - I would need to see that myself in real. If it would be possible from your side, we will manage it by email. It can be production site or the mirror (or any other site).
